I'm so thankful for all my girlfriends! Most of which are mommies now and they're giving me some awesome advice. Solicited or not, I appreciate every piece of wisdom that they share with me.
For example, I had no clue that there were special bottles that you stored breast milk in. I just thought they went into plastic bags. Turns out the plastic bags are for the freezer, and the container/bottle things are for the fridge. Good to know... Gotta go to Babies R Us and stock up on some of these before the baby gets here!
Hmmm, wonder what else I don't know? Guess I'll figure it out when the time comes ;)
Thank You

You can store breastmilk in Medela Pump & Store bags in the fridge too... Oh, you don't have to stock up right away on anything but lanolin and breastpads. For the first few weeks, all you will be doing is breastfeeding, so there isn't anything you need to store. Also... rent a medical grade breastpump instead of buying one. You never know if you'd like to stop breastfeeding, and then you're stuck with a pump that will make you feel guilty for stopping early than you originally planned. I use the Medela Symphony. If you rent from a hospital, it will cost less than renting from Babies R Us. :) A couple of nursing tanks will last you for a whole year. Glamourmom makes some very sturdy ones. They are a bit more expensive, but after nearly 8 months, the two I have still look brand new. They are easier to feed discretely and get dressed quickly. :) I am so happy for you guys!
